Concrete Leveling | Concrete Renovation

Sealed Concrete:

There is a wide variety of sealed concrete options. Thee choices are acrylic, epoxy and urethane coatings. For these treatments, the floors are typically prepared using grinders.

Once the grinding has been completed and all the debris has be cleaned up and removed the concrete floor can be stained, if required, before the sealing process is done.

Concrete Resurfacing:

Resurfacing options are also numerous, from exterior epoxy decorative coatings, and stained or pigmented concrete sealers, to micro toppings, stamped micro toppings. Ideal applications for these types of treatments are patios, pool decks, walkways, driveways and stairs

Concrete floor leveling:

Under certain circumstances, such as wood or tile flooring, it might be necessary to level and stabilize the floor within a certain range, prior to installing other finishes to the floor.

We always prepare floors as per the manufacturer’s recommendations. The floor is then primed before we pour self-leveling concrete to provide a completely flat and level substrate surface.

The final appearance of each of these treatments can be enhanced with an epoxy floor coating.

Polished Concrete

Locations that are well suited to polished concrete floors are basements, office spaces, lobbies and garages, or anywhere interior concrete can be used.

Achieving the perfect polished concrete floor requires a process that involves several steps.

The first step is to grind the floor mechanically so that the surface is incredibly smooth. This process hones and polishes the floor with various grades of abrasives several times, each reefing pass making the floor surface more and more smooth.

After that a densifying penetrant is applied to harden the concrete and create a dust-proof surface. The goal of this process is the provide a level of gloss on the surface.

Once we’ve reach correct gloss level, a stain-resistant sealer is applied and burnished. This is also the time color can be introduced, if the client has decided on that option.

If you’re looking for a tough and highly durable floor that will require very little maintenance, the polished concrete could be the way to go.

That said, you can add color and something a little more special by having an epoxy floor coating applied.

Add to that, the idea of designs and patterns that can be added using stencils, we are confident you will be delighted the finished look.
